Responsible to:

•       Committee Chair

Purpose / Responsibilities:

Prayer Always

•       Inform congregation of our missionaries’ needs.

•       Add or delete any Shares Missionaries based on congregation’s support.

•       Take care of Missions Month Emphasis and speakers.

•        Keep our missionaries in front of the congregation using front line prayer, missions’ month, meet the missionary events, etc.

•        Encourage Support Groups – each mission &/or missionary must have a support group to be a Shares Mission or Missionary.

•        Encourage and counsel those interested in missionary service.

•        Support short term missions and encourage participants’ focus and definition of purpose.

Time Commitment:

•       Approximately 3 hours per month (2 hours for the meeting with an additional hour for contacting missionaries and other activities).

Length of Commitment:

•       One or two year(s). (Maximum of 6 consecutive years)

Training:

•       No additional training required.

Special Qualifications:

•       A heart for missions and/or missionaries.
